I know! I’m on time! Amazing š
Without further ado, the Works in Progress:
The Rikke in the gorgeous Malabrigo Rios colorway, Arco Iris. It’s coming along rather quickly. The squishy garter stitch will make for a luxurious hat. And might I add that I LOVE the German Twisted Cast-On used here. It’s stretchy and pretty. Check out the tutorial here.
I’m hoping to have it in the mail by the end of the week.
I know I’ve got countless other things on the needles..check them out here on my Ravelry page.
Baby Payton’s Wee Envelope is about to hit the needles. I need to get knitting on this one and the ladies of PostStitch are going to be live on Facebook tomorrow to answer questions about this pattern.
I must say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who weighed in. There was definitely a pretty good consensus that I should just knit what I’d like to knit. I was reminded that I should be knitting fun. So dog-gonnit it will be fun!
I may have also been tempted by this:
It has been calling to me. It is Two Grey Dogs Designs Schnauzer Snuggle in the Orange at Sea colorway. It wants to be something. Maybe the Cupido cowl? Maybe an original design…
Anyway, linking up with Nicole at Frontier Dreams.

Don’t you just LOVE Malabrigo yarn. It so soft and fluffy. Until recently I’ve only knit hats and headbands with it but I’ve started a cardigan with it. I know it will not be an every day wear as I’ve heard that 1-ply merino’s tend to not hold up to tons of friction over time, but I just had to try. Your projects are lovely, I enjoy reading about them.

I definitely love me some Malabrigo š I have read some about your beautiful happy yellow cardigan!! Thank you š
Ooh, that grey/orange yarn looks awesome. I love the combination of the neutral grey and pop of colour. Does it stripe? Whatever you make it’s going to look very cool š
I don’t think it stripes. I think it’s just little pops of the orange and yellow. I’m excited š
German Twisted cast on is my absolute favorite. I use it on all socks, hats, and mitts.
It eats a little more yarn than a regular long tail cast on but it’s definitely super useful. I will have to try it on my next pair of socks!
I love the colour of your Rikke.
Thank you!! It’s sooo cheerful!
I’ve never tried German Twisted cast on but it looks really fantastic. And that Two Grey Dogs yarn oh my, I must have it!
The yarn pretty much jumped off the shelf of my stash at me. It is shouting to be something!!
Oh! I love the Rikke hat. I’ve made two in Madtosh, and they came out beautifully. The Rios yarn is perfect for it, too.
I definitely want to try one in Madtosh. Ive got a partial skein floating around my stash that i think would be super cozy š
I *love* that yarn at the end, it’s so pretty – the colors are absolutely perfect!
Thank you!!! Me too!!!
